did you know?

Radmakker is named after a fictional dog!

About us!

We are a non-profit foundation (since 2011) that supports the curriculum of your school by conducting interactive workshops in four different languages. To do that we have workshops, student plays and many programmes, all of which are highly interactive and project based."

Please have a look around the website, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in contact with us!

We look forward to coming to your school!

Kind regards,

The Radmakker team

The workshops give the students a platform to experiment what they've learned in class. They are encouraged to take it a step further and out come of their comfort zones and try things they may not normally do in class. We often use drama & characterisation as well as role-play to get them thinking outside the box and explore themes such as bullying or even Shakespeare in a stimulating, but safe environment. Not just for fun, we grade your students and give them a chance to upgrade their English mark.

Our mini-productions are extended workshops, in which the students get a character in one of the mini-plays and over the course of a few days (which the school may decide) everyone creates a wonderful performance. This gives the students more time to develop their language skills as well as put on a show! They will learn about stagecraft, storytelling, communication and at the same time present themselves, which in turn, benefits the school curriculum.

Project-based learning

Project-based learning is a dynamic approach to teaching in which students explore real-world problems and challenges. With this type of active and engaged learning, students are inspired to delve deeper into the subjects they are studying. We understand the benefits of this approach and use it in our theatre-style workshops and plays.

Our approach: workshops for all!

By using theatre, we can get students to actively engage themselves in order to improve their language skills. The challenges implemented in our workshops and plays can differ from time to time, and we may even include topics that you have taught in class.

Workshops are not only aimed at secondary school students, but also at primary levels, upper/higher CEFR Levels, adults, as well as teachers.

Our workshops are easily implemented in your schools' curriculum, because they are based on a structured programme in which the students build on what they already know and improve on their 'active speaking & listening' skills. Students will be able to develop their language skills further and this will help greatly in their future education.

We use the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) as a point of reference on how we implement our programme. Workshops and plays in our programme are suitable for the following levels:

  • A1

  • A2

  • B1

  • B2

We will grade students individually according to a school’s own grading system, based on criteria such as: vocabulary, listening, grammar, use of language, confidence as well as teamwork during the workshop. The school receives the results at the end. This gives extra support for the curriculum.

When students perform in a play or give presentations, we document that, and send the school a copy for its records. The video footage alongside the grade given will give a good impression of the individual students’ level and where they can improve.

Something to remember us by

When we have paid a school a visit, we can also compile a short video of the day’s work which can be added to the school's Facebook page or website. This is a great way to show students’ abilities off, and promote the school.

To continually improve workshops, and stay updated, we give students as well as teachers feedback forms at the end of each workshop.
